Men's Ministries
Mission Statement
To teach, train, activate, and release God's men into
the ministry that He has appointed, anointed and gifted
for them. (Ephesians 2:10)
The men’s group at Freedom Chapel
is focused upon developing the “four pillars”
of a man’s calling; Kingship, Warrior, Mentor
and Friend. These pillars in a man’s life are
not unlike the architectural structures that support
the magnificent monuments that surround our capital.
Individually they are a significant work and collectively
they support some of the most impressive buildings in
the world. Without the pillars the roof, or coverings,
of those monuments would not stand. It is the same with
the pillars of a man’s life. Without the Godly
defining and developing of these pillars the covering
of our family, church, friends and community suffer.
Each revels a portion of Christ; collectively we truly
reflect the nature of our Lord. The Kingly pillar provides
the vision to protect, we are not to abdicate our role
nor are we to be a tyrant but a servant King. The Warrior
pillar demands of us the strength to protect; there
is no room for cowards or a brute. We are required to
mentor, to pray for and gain the wisdom to teach; this
is not being a know-it-all and it is not calling for
an ignorant walk. Finally, a pillar of Friend calls
for us to love others to connect; we are not created
to be a loner, as we were not called to smother one
another. We believe God is calling men to accountability,
to take their rightful place in His kingdom and to accept
the responsibility that the position holds.
Although we are serious about God’s
word and its application in our lives, we also believe
that our Lord desires us to enjoy the life Christ has
given us. Come join us in our studies and retreats,
but stay tuned in for the golf outings, fishing trips
and various activities throughout the year.
F –Faith - Building our faith through hearing
the word of God, discipleship and mentoring.
R – Responsibility for relationships, first with
Jesus Christ and then family, church, friends and community.
E – Encouragement - Encourage men to become who
they are in Christ
E – Exercise our “Spiritual muscles”
- Exercise our God-given right to take our family, city
and the world for Christ, Jew and Gentile alike.
D – Demonstrate our faith in Christ by living
a Christ-like life. We are to become Christ-like rather
than just confessing that we are Christians.
O – Outreach – to the lost starting with
our family, friends, and watch the flood of “Living
Water” flow into our city, state, country and
throughout the world.
M – Minister to each other by praying, encouraging,
and serving. Operate in the ministry according to the
gifts God has planted in each of us.
